Digital Scholarship Summer Fellows Program 2018

We invite students of all majors to apply for a paid, full-time summer fellowship for work on a public-facing digital scholarship project related to the history of women in science at Bryn Mawr. Fellows will have the opportunity to work with IT professionals, librarians, archivists, and digital scholarship staff to develop skills in:

  • Assessing and applying digital scholarship methods and approaches to research
  • Collaborative design and development of a digital scholarship project
  • Virtual reality, 3D Modeling, data visualization, and other digital scholarship topical areas
  • Project management
  • Archival research
  • Digital publication and communications

Fellows will meet Monday through Friday for hands-on work with digital scholarship technologies, professional development workshops, and further development of an existing, collaborative digital scholarship project. Opportunities for field trips and collaboration with digital scholarship students at other academic institutions will also be available. *No prior experience with digital scholarship necessary.*

Successful Applicants will possess:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative group setting
  • Commitment to learning digital scholarship methods and tools for research
  • Desire to apply digital scholarship to future research or professional projects
